This week we reframed Valentine’s Day with an episode that was short and sweet. Some people love the holiday, some folks hate it — we’re not opposed to what Valentine’s Day represents, but are definitely here for a new perspective on what it could mean! Is it just a sentimental “love day” or possibly a new take on freedom? Or is it better if we just think of it as another day that ends in Y?

The Myth of Saint Valentine's Day by Sophie Strand
We spent most of the week in Miami at a kids television conference—another part of what we do—pitching, writing, making new friends and hanging out in Ubers. One particularly memorable moment was listening to one driver talk to his wife (we presume). She said, “Will you be home in 3-4 minutes?” He said, “Could be.” That’s all. He didn’t explain with more words. He was satisfied with two.
Could. Be. The best non-answer that we feel excited to try in our own lives. What if we made the commitment to release the “shoulds” through this impeccable and subtle pivot. It could possibly be our way into freedom, folks.
